Kajabi X-Ray — Privacy Policy
Summary
Kajabi X-Ray does not collect, sell or share any personal data. It has no account, no server, no analytics and no tracking. Everything it does happens inside your own browser.
What X-Ray reads
When you turn X-Ray on in a tab, it reads that page to show you its structure: block and section IDs, image URLs, colours, fonts and element sizes. It does this only in the tab where you turned it on, and only while it is on. This information is shown to you on screen and is never sent anywhere.
What X-Ray stores
- Your snippets (names, descriptions, CSS and JavaScript you write or import), which starter snippets you deleted, and your settings, such as the last tab, colour format and panel position.
- These are saved with Chrome's extension storage on your device (
chrome.storage.local). - A backup copy is saved with
chrome.storage.sync. If you are signed into Chrome with sync turned on, Google's Chrome Sync keeps this copy in your own Google account, under Google's privacy policy. The developer of X-Ray cannot see it. - Removing the extension deletes its local data.
What X-Ray sends
Nothing. X-Ray sends no data to the developer or to any third party. Its fonts and code are packaged inside the extension. The only thing it loads is the page's own images, from the same addresses the page already uses, to show thumbnails and sizes in the Images tab. Copying puts text only on your own clipboard.
Permissions and why they are needed
- activeTab and scripting: to run X-Ray in the tab where you click its icon or press its shortcut.
- storage and unlimitedStorage: to save your snippets and settings, with no size limit, on your device.
- kajabi.com and mykajabi.com: to open X-Ray inside the Kajabi page editor's preview frame.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
